Amy's Orlando Real Estate Blog

The East side of town has a lot going on these days. The new UCF medical school has class in session. The Burnham Institute moved into their buildings in the Lake Nona area earlier this year. Ground breaking has taken place for the VA hospital and the Nemours Childrens Hospital. UCF is now the 5th largest university in the country and ranked number 5 among up and coming universities by US News and World Report.

Real estate sales have really been hot this summer with back to back 2000+ sales months and back to back increases in the median price in June and July. The median price has been stable for four months now marking the end of an 18 month drop in prices here in Orlando. It looks like we have bottomed out, and sales are reflecting the value people are seeing in Orlando real estate. Time is also running out on the first time home buyer tax credit.
